critter (they/she) is an interdisciplinary creator in the DMV region. they use art as a lifeline to connect back to the power of self-expression under interlocking western systems of conformity and control.

art fosters community and connection, yet being an artist can be deeply introspective and internally demanding. ultimately, they seek to live within and push the boundaries of this tension and constantly evolve their art practice.

specializing in textiles and fiber arts, critter’s art features usable, unique pieces from creative re-imaginings of found and reclaimed materials. she often sells at markets around the DMV and is open to teaching newcomers how to sew - either by hand or with a machine!
